HOW TO ACCESS NH DOWNLOADABLE BOOKS (NHDB)
MCUL is part of a statewide consortium, formed to create a collection of downloadable books. The collection has ebooks, audios, and magazines; all digital and downloadable. The platform is Overdrive, with the Libby app. If you are a patron, you already have a 3 to 4 digit library card number. THIS NUMBER WILL NOT WORK TO ACCESS THE DOWNLOADABLES. You will need to contact us to get a 14-digit number to access NHDB. 603-357-0456 [email protected] Once you have your number, go to https://nh.overdrive.com/ and sign in. You will need to choose your library first; Swanzey: Mt. Caesar Union Library, then your 14-digit number. Click on “A message from your NH public libraries” at the top of the page. This will redirect you to the official NHDB blog, where you will find directions. Scroll down and look for Browse on the right hand side. There you will find links to information about how to download to your device, how to trouble-shoot, etc. “Handouts” is especially helpful for the beginner; make sure to scroll down to find your situation.
